Pot Luck Supper

HAMPSTEAD – Do you like to cook? Do you like to eat? Do you enjoy finding new taste treats? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, plan to come to the Friends of the Hampstead Public Library’s Pot Luck Supper on May 14th. The Pot Luck meal is the annual finale to each season of free programs sponsored by the Friends of the Library. If you’d like to attend the supper, please sign up at the library’s front desk. You’ll need to specify what dish you will bring to the library on May 14th. The Friends are looking for salads, main dishes, desserts and breads. The Pot Luck supper is free and open to everyone who signs up to bring a dish. It’s an occasion for socializing, meeting friends as well as Friends, and celebrating Hampstead’s wonderful public library.

The fun begins at 5:30 p.m. on the 14th as people stream into the library and upstairs with their favorite foods. Every year offers new dishes for everyone attending to sample. If you find something you like especially well, the donor will gladly share the recipe. There are always meatless dishes for vegetarians as well as special salads and casseroles full of meat and other good things. Everyone will be able to find enough to eat no matter what your preferences.

Start planning now so you won’t be caught short on May 13th without a family favorite ready to share with your friends and the Friends of the Library.
