---- — DANVILLE - Friends of the Colby Memorial Library will hold a Holiday Cookie Swap on Sat., December 14, at 11:30 a.m. Please bring three (3) dozen decorated cookies with six (6) cookies per bag for swapping. Please register for this event by calling 382-6733 or registering at the library.

Enjoy a gift of Christmas past, present and future as we host celebrated performer, Odds Bodkin, for a tuxedo and lectern performance of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” on Wed., December 11, at 7:00 p.m. The program will be approximately one hour long.

The Trustees and staff would like to thank Bob Loree, an arborist, master pruner, and Danville resident, who volunteered his time and equipment to prune the beautiful pine tree next to our building. Bob owns and operates Whole Tree Care and specializes in fine ornamental, specimen and shade tree pruning and care. He is a member of the Mass Arborists Association and a certified arborist in Mass. Thanks also to Kate LeBlanc and Tom Billbrough for assisting.

The Mystery & Suspense Book Club is reading “Sleeping Doll” by Jeffrey Deaver. The book discussion will be held on Thurs., December 5, at 7:00 p.m.

Preschool Storytimes are held on Thursdays at 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Bring your little ones to hear stories, sing songs, and make a craft. Please call to register your child at 382-6733.

The Knitter’s and Handcrafter’s Group meets on Mondays from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. If you don’t know how to knit, we will help you.
