---- — HAMPSTEAD - Johnny Claude the Listener Dog will be at the Hampstead Public Library on Mon., December 9, from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. He is a certified therapy dog who loves to listen to kids read, tell stories, or act out a book. This program is terrific for reluctant readers of any age. You can set up a fifteen minute session with Johnny Claude, by signing-up at the library’s front desk or calling the library at 329-6411. Adults are also welcome to visit with Johnny Claude.

FAMILY MOVIE MATINEE – On Sat., December 14, at 12 noon, the Hampstead Public Library will have a free family matinee, and you can help choose the movie! Would you like to see the Muppet version of Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol,” the animated adaptation of Chris Van Allsburg’s “The Polar Express,” or the new Disney animated feature about airplanes? You can cast your vote when you visit the library or emailing jarden@hampsteadlibrary.org. The library will provide some refreshments, but you are welcome to bring your own lunch or snack. Attendees will be entered to win a gift card for a local movie theater.

FAMILY WORKSHOP - On Sat., December 21, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., escape the hustle and bustle of the season and come to the Hampstead Public Library for a Holiday Workshop. Spend quality time with your family creating seasonal decorations to keep or give away as gifts. Share a favorite holiday story, spend time with friends, and enjoy a free breakfast.
