Join Master Kelly from Alpha Tae-Kwon-Do and Fitness for a lesson in self-defense on Sat., September 7, at 12 noon. Children will have a lesson in basic kicking, punching, stances, and self-defense. Master Kelly and five of her students will demonstrate these techniques and all participants will have a go at breaking a board. Bring a water bottle and wear loose clothes. Classes are open to ages 6 - 12. Signup is required.
Our Free Six Week Meditation Class will run again this year from Sept 18-Oct 23, on Wednesdays from 7:00-8:00 p.m. The evening class will provide an opportunity to learn techniques for developing a daily meditation practice. Students will be introduced to the art of centering and mindfulness. Through this, they will develop more positive emotions resulting in a clear sense of well-being. Come join us for this wonderful opportunity to improve the quality of your life. Please call the Library at 642-3521 to register. Class size is limited and preference will be given to Kingston residents. Participants are asked to commit to the full series of six classes.
