EPPING — This month’s Pajama Night at the Harvey-Mitchell Memorial Library comes just in time for Mother’s Day. On Fri., May 10 children ages 3-8 and their families are invited to wear their PJs to the library for stories, a scavenger hunt celebrating Mom and simple crafts that will be perfect for giving as gifts on Mom’s special day. Dads, make an early gift of an evening to herself and bring the kids on your own! The fun starts at 6:30 p.m. Please bring a snack to share.

Monday Munch and Movie on May 13 will feature “Three Coins in the Fountain”, the charming romantic comedy made in 1954 about three American women looking for love in Rome. Directed by Jean Negulesco. The movie begins at 12:30 p.m. Bring a lunch!

The library’s Spring Tea Party for children will be on Sat., May 18, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Young ladies and gentlemen of Epping and neighboring towns are invited to this special day of dress-up, old fashioned crafts and games, and yummy treats. Please call Miss Tracie at 679-5944 to RSVP so there will be enough tea and cucumber sandwiches for all.

Lizzi Borden took an axe, or did she? Dr. Annette Holba of Plymouth State University will illuminate the circumstances of the famous double homicide that took place in Fall River, MA back in 1892. This program is funded with a grant from the New Hampshire Humanities Council and will be held on Thurs., May 23 at 7:00 p.m.

Save the date: The annual Toy Sale to benefit the library’s summer reading program is scheduled for Sat., June 22. Donations of clean, gently used toys, games and sports equipment can be dropped off at the library during operating hours. In the case of larger items, please call the children’s room to make arrangements. Sale items will be stored off-site until June 21. Think of the library during spring cleaning!
