---- — DANVILLE — Cookie Monster once said, “Cookie! Cookie! Cookie!” and we couldn’t have said it better ourselves. In honor of our favorite, glutinous, PBS children’s character, the Friends of the Colby Library will hold a special holiday cookie swap on Sat., December 8 at 11:30 a.m. Choose your favorite recipe and bring in your freshly baked cookies to swap with other local baking enthusiasts. Please register for this event by Sat., December 1. Cookies should be decorated and packaged six to a bag with a total of three dozen cookies.

The Mystery & Suspense Book Club is reading Michael Connelly’s, “Black Ice”. Stop in and pick up a copy to be discussed on Thurs., December 6, at 7:00 p.m.

We now deliver all of our library materials (books, DVDs, audio books, magazines, etc.) right to your front door. Please call us at 382-6733 to make arrangements for our delivery service.

Preschool Storytimes are held on Thursdays at 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Bring your little ones to hear stories, sing songs, and make a craft. Please call to register your child at 382-6733.

The Knitter’s and Handcrafter’s Group meets on Mondays, from 6:30-7:45 p.m. If you don’t know how to knit, we will help you.
