GREENLAND – “Treasure from the Isles of Shoals: How New Archaeology is Changing Old History” on Tues., September 24, at 6:30 p.m., at the Weeks Public Library in Greenland.
There is treasure here but not the pirate kind. Scientific “digs” on Smuttynose Island are changing New England history. J. Dennis Robinson, a longtime Smuttynose steward, explores the truth behind the romantic legends of Gosport Harbor in this colorful show-and-tell presentation. This free program is sponsored by a grant from the New Hampshire Humanities Council.
