HAMPSTEAD - The Hampstead Public Library will have “Books for Breakfast” on Sat., November 10, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. This program is designed to give families more time together. The library will have crafts, books to share, and delicious breakfast foods. Everyone who attends will have a chance to win a great prize.

FREE MOVIE MATINÉE — On November 17th at 12:30 p.m., the Hampstead Public Library presents a movie matinée. This recent nature documentary takes moviegoers deep into the forests of Africa with a new true life adventure introducing an adorable little chimp named Oscar. Working together, Oscar’s chimpanzee family navigates the complex territory of the forest. When they are confronted by a rival band of chimps, Oscar is left to fend for himself until a surprising ally steps in and changes his life forever. This movie is suitable for adults and kids of all ages. Feel free to pack a lunch or snack and bring it along for this “Brown Bag Matinée.” For more information, go to www.HampsteadLibrary.org.

THANKSGIVING HOURS -—The Hampstead Public Library will be open regular hours on Wed., November 21, from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. It will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, as well as Fri., November 23, and Sat., November 24. The library will reopen with regular hours on Mon., November 26.

CRAFT WORKSHOP — Are you an adult who likes to do crafts? Do you like to give homemade gifts? Come spend an afternoon crafting in the company of others. Drop –in between 2:00 and 5:00 p.m., on Wed., November 28. The library will provide supplies for winter crafts like 3-D paper snowflakes, jewelry, and paper bag luminarias. If you have questions, call the library 329-6411 and ask for Janet.

  • Catherine F. "Kitty" (Clements) Brown, 66

    Ft. Gibson, OK — Catherine F. "Kitty" (Clements) Brown passed away February 17, 2013, at her home in Ft. Gibson, Okla., after a brave battle with cancer. Kitty was born in Brentwood, N.H., on April 21, 1946, to the late Chester H. Clements and Catherine F. (Morse) Clements. She was raised in Kingston, N.H., and graduated from Sanborn Seminary. She lived for many years on Plum Island, Mass. While living on Plum Island, she was a columnist and photographer for The Daily News of Newburyport, as well as a school bus driver.

  • Ted "Teddy" Bolduc

    Fremont, N.H. — Ted “Teddy” Burleigh Bolduc, was born the youngest son of Phyllis and Joseph Bolduc Sr., on May 22, 1962. He died suddenly April 8, 2013, after a brief illness. Ted lived for most of his life in Fremont and Raymond. He was well known for his skills with heavy equipment and worked all his life in construction and excavation in the Fremont and Epping area. In addition to his work, he loved ice hockey, baseball, hunting, country music, and animals, especially his dog Finlay. He was very proud of, and also loved by, his very large family.
