EPPING - PJ Movie Night in November will feature the newest story from Disney about Tinkerbell and her friends. The movie will start at 6:30 p.m., on Fri., November 9, in the children’s room at the Harvey Mitchell Library. Popcorn will be provided and guests are encouraged to bring a spill-resistant drink and a snack to share. The next Pajama Night will be “The Magic of Christmas” on Fri., December 14.

Attention, Lego Fans! The new Lego Club will be having its first “Block Party” on Sat., November 10, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Children ages 4 and up are invited for an hour of Lego fun. Builders are invited to bring their own completed projects to display, but leave their loose bricks at home. There will be plenty provided to share! The Story Explorers have been studying the themes and characters of children’s author Mercer Mayer in their annual author study, and will end the fall session with a visit from a local storyteller-turned author. Shawn Middleton has regaled Epping audiences with his stories before, but this time will be presenting his own published stories on Tues., November 13, at 3:30 p.m., Elementary school-aged children are invited to join the Story Explorers group as they look behind the scenes at the process of writing a kids book from inspiration to publication, including tips and activities to get the kids excited about writing. This is sure to be an afternoon full of creativity and fun.

First and Second grade readers are invited to practice their reading aloud with Miss Angela. The next 6 week session of Reading Friends begins November 14th. This group meets on Wednesday afternoons from 4:00 to 4:30 p.m., and provides emerging readers with a small, safe group to practice their reading skills. Pre-registration is required as class size is limited, and snack is provided. Parents are required to stay in the building during class time.

Epping’s public library is open Monday – Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The library will be closed on Mon., November 12 in honor of Veteran’s Day.   • Catherine F. "Kitty" (Clements) Brown, 66

    Ft. Gibson, OK — Catherine F. "Kitty" (Clements) Brown passed away February 17, 2013, at her home in Ft. Gibson, Okla., after a brave battle with cancer. Kitty was born in Brentwood, N.H., on April 21, 1946, to the late Chester H. Clements and Catherine F. (Morse) Clements. She was raised in Kingston, N.H., and graduated from Sanborn Seminary. She lived for many years on Plum Island, Mass. While living on Plum Island, she was a columnist and photographer for The Daily News of Newburyport, as well as a school bus driver.

  • Ted "Teddy" Bolduc

    Fremont, N.H. — Ted “Teddy” Burleigh Bolduc, was born the youngest son of Phyllis and Joseph Bolduc Sr., on May 22, 1962. He died suddenly April 8, 2013, after a brief illness. Ted lived for most of his life in Fremont and Raymond. He was well known for his skills with heavy equipment and worked all his life in construction and excavation in the Fremont and Epping area. In addition to his work, he loved ice hockey, baseball, hunting, country music, and animals, especially his dog Finlay. He was very proud of, and also loved by, his very large family.
