East Kingston Library News

EAST KINGSTON —Once again East Kingston Public Library joins with the East Kingston Elementary School to present an exciting summer reading program for 2014.

The theme for this year’s program statewide is science. We have scheduled many programs with a science, nature or history theme.

Sign ups begin as soon as school closes the week of June 16-20. Put your beaker on the bulletin board and get your calendar of events. Keep a reading log and read, read, read!

You will find many new titles in our juvenile department from graphic novels to the latest Ladybug, Great Stone Face and Flume picks. Mrs. Foy, Mrs. Darby and Ms. Kady from the elementary school will help suggest some great choices during their popular book talks.

Mrs. Courchesne will come in to do some science experiments. Heather Lindsay returns with her big kid crafts program. Ask Zoe about making elephant gum.

Our Monday and Friday story and craft session continues through the summer.

Special programs are planned with the Children’s Museum of Dover, Wildlife Encounters and Hands on History.

All this to be topped off with a Wimpy Kid party, giant sized games and a robotics presentation.

With so much going on you really need to stop by to sign up and get a calendar of events.

Watch our website for updates, times and dates to remember.
