HAMPSTEAD —The Hampstead Public Library hosts an AARP Fraud Watch Network Program on Tues., June 17 at 7:00 p.m. No matter your age, background or education, you could be at risk. We’ll discuss types of fraud and scams, the behavior that puts people at risk, how scammers operate, effective prevention strategies, and resources for up-to-date information and reporting of scams. Adults don’t forget that you too can participate in the Summer Reading Program at the Hampstead Public Library. It officially starts on Thurs., June 19 at 1:00 p.m., and you can sign-up any time after that. You’ll have the opportunity to win great prizes, share your book reviews, and participate in fun events. Program highlights include: Interstellar Images from the IBEX satellite, the science of weather, and a SciFi movie series. The Hampstead Public Library shows a super new movie on Tues., June 24 at 7:00 p.m. Adults, teens and kids of all ages will enjoy this animated movie about a lowly Lego® figure that joins a group battling an evil force. Will Arnett, Liam Neeson, Will Ferrell, and Morgan Freeman are some of the stars that contribute voice talent to this recent movie. This event is free and open to the public.
