Kimball Library News

ATKINSON — Fa la la la la la la la la! We are announcing a holiday concert that you definitely won’t want to miss! The Kokopelli Flute Ensemble will perform on Tues., December 10, from 6:30-8:00 p.m., at the Kimball Library in Atkinson. Join them for a festive evening of holiday music and Christmas Carol sing-a-longs. They promise to play many of your favorites, and perhaps you’ll even hear something you’ve never heard before.

Kokopelli is a group of eight members of the Timberlane Community Band’s flute section. They have played music together, in various configurations, for over a decade, and would love to share their special sound with you. Kokopelli has played for gatherings from Maine to Connecticut, but their home is right here in southern New Hampshire.

Come to the Kimball Library, relax for a while, and let the sounds of the holidays make your season bright! There is no admission fee. Refreshments will be provided by the Friends of Kimball Library.

Details for the second ‘Holiday Drop ‘n Shop’ on Sat., December 14, from 10:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. are as follows: on the second day of ‘Drop ‘n Shop’ the elves have whispered to me... “Let's have some Frosting, Fun, and Friends!” Learn about the history of gingerbread. Create your very own gingerbread cookies from scratch! Sample warm cookies from the oven and decorate a cookie to take home. Registration is now available.

All 'Drop 'n Shop' participants must be at least 6 years of age to be left in the building without an adult. Ages 6-9 must have an adult fill out a waiver on that morning to be left here in our care. Children under 6 must be supervised by the attending caretaker. Children ages 10 and up are allowed to stay without an adult or waiver according to library policy. Thank you for your cooperation.
