DANVILLE —It’s not too late to register for our Summer reading programs, Dig Into Reading, Beneath the Surface and Ground Breaking Reads. We have weekly drawings for prizes for all ages for participants. The annual Summer reading picnic will be held on Wed., August 21. Steve Blunt will entertain us at 1:00 p.m. Please bring a picnic lunch, drink, and blanket or chairs.

Need a new backpack to get ready for school? The Friends of the Colby Library are offering a raffle of three backpacks with Staples gift cards. Staples has donated the gift cards. The raffle will be drawn on August 21 during the Summer Reading picnic.

The Mystery & Suspense Book Club is reading “Open Season” by C.J. Box. The book discussion will be held on Thurs., August 1 at 7:00 p.m.

Preschool Storytimes are held on Thursdays at 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Bring your little ones to hear stories, sing songs, and make a craft. Please call to register your child at 382-6733.

The Knitter’s and Handcrafter’s Group meets on Mondays, from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. If you don’t know how to knit, we will help you.
