Carriage Towne News

---- — STRATHAM —Bring your laptop, e-reader, tablet, or smartphone to the Wiggin Memorial Library in Stratham for two great technology classes. On Fri., August 2 at 11:00 a.m. the library will introduce users to downloading library ebooks and digital audiobooks. “We’ll cover the software or apps needed, using the sites, borrowing and returning titles” said Lesley Kimball, Library Director and workshop presenter. The library offers access to both OverDrive and Freading for cardholders to borrow free ebooks to read on their mobile devices or computers. Participants will leave the session able to enjoy library ebooks or digital audiobooks on their own device. Facebook for Beginners will take place on Mon., August 5 at 10:00 a.m. at the library. “Come find out what the fuss is all about or how to set up your Facebook page the way you want,” offers Kimball. If your friends and family have been asking you to get on Facebook but you weren’t sure where to begin, then this is the class for you. The session will address signing up for a Facebook account, settings, privacy, sharing photos, and more. Register for this session at the library’s online calendar (library.strathamnh.gov).

Technology Learn & Share sessions are intended to help people use the library’s e-resources and enjoy using technology. Participants are encouraged to ask questions and to share tips and tricks they have learned. Other scheduled topics include iPads & Tablet Basics, Facebook for Beginners, Your Online Library (Reserving, Renewing & More), Taking Online Classes through Universal Class, Creating Legal Documents with LawDepot, Online Language Learning with Transparent Language, Enjoying Online Magazines, and more.
