Kimball Library News

ATKINSON —The summer reading rush continues. Children, tweens, and teens may still register to read and win prizes. We still have some available places in a few of our events, and some events do not require registration. We are attempting to remind everyone of event etiquette, i.e. if you have registered for an event and if for any reason your child is unable to attend please call us the moment that you know this. We have a waiting list for most activities at least ten children deep and your absence is unnecessarily taking a place from another child. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

Spaces remain at the time of publication in the following events: ‘We DIG Mad Science’ for all ages on Wed., July 24 (no registration necessary), ‘We DIG Fairy Frolics’ for kindergarten through grade 5 on Thurs., July 25 (registration required), ‘Beneath the Surface’ Jewelry Making for grades 5-12 on Wed., July 31 (registration required), ‘We DIG the Diggers’ for kindergarten through grade 5 on Mon., August 5 (registration required), and the summer reading finale with Squeezebox Stompers on August 8. Please check online or give us a call for more details.

Calling all fairy lovers! Dress in your best tutu and fly to the library for this fun filled event. Create enchanted crafts, enjoy fairy fun games, and delight in magical treats. All of this magic is available on Thurs., July 25, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. for children who register and are in grades K-5. Register now to avoid disappointment.

We also have openings in our summer preschool classes. Choose from the following: Mother Goose on the Loose, Bitty Books, or Kiddie Lit.

Summer Mother Goose on the Loose is for infants through age 2 and meets on Mondays for thirty minutes. The children with their caregivers are invited to join us for simple stories, rhymes, finger plays, and songs. Please feel welcome to stay after the session to allow for playtime and socializing for all ages. If you sign up, we consider you registered for the entire session that runs until August 19.
