Movie & Social: “The Guilt Trip” starring Barbara Streisand will be shown on Mon., June 10 at 1:00 and 5:30 p.m. The plan for a quick stop at mom’s takes a turn for the unexpected when an impulse compels a son to invite his mother on an eight-day, 3,000 mile journey across the country. Bring a friend and enjoy pizza at the 5:30 p.m. showing.
Hiking Safely: Be prepared to spring into the hiking season with NH Fish & Game Officer Chris McKee. On Thurs., June 13 at 6:30 p.m. Officer McKee will talk about hiking safely. His advice will include what gear to take, what to do if you are lost, the Hiker Responsibility Code and much more. He will also be happy to answer any questions.
Cribbage Club: Have you ever played the card game, Cribbage or would you like to learn? Bring your friends and join us on the first and third Tuesdays of the month. It’s a great way to brush up on your skills or learn a new game. The second and fourth Tuesday nights you’ll find the kids at the library for a challenge.
Books & Bites! Adult Book Discussion: Beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Tues., June 18, the book group will discuss this month’s selection, “The 19th Wife” by David Ebershoff. This story combines epic historical fiction with a modern murder mystery to create a brilliant novel of literary suspense. Copies of the book are available at the library.
Museum Passes: The library has several museum passes available to Sandown residents to use at no charge. You may reserve your pass online or by calling the library at 887-3428. Passes may be reserved up to three months in advance. Please note the New England Aquarium pass will not be available during the months of July and August.
