PLAISTOW — The Small Passions miniatures club of Plaistow is building a dollhouse to be raffled at the library’s Holiday Fair on Sat., November 16; proceeds to benefit the library. Small Passions member Amanda Tempesta is the artist who embellished the exterior of the house with hand-painted shrubbery and whimsical folk art. With the luck of a raffle ticket, this charming dollhouse could be yours, or a gift to someone special. Watch photos of its progress on the library’s Facebook page and website.

Welcome to the Wild, Wild West on Sat., October 19 at 11:00 a.m. The Gold Rush, Cowboys, Native Americans, Sheriffs and Outlaws. Come dressed in your favorite wild west gear, play games, make crafts, and learn all about this exciting time in history. Ages 4-8.

Stories with Savannah is available third Monday each month in four fifteen (15) minute time slots from 4:00–5:00 p.m. Cuddle up and read with this very special Black Labrador Retriever Therapy Dog and her handler on Mon., October 21. Choose your own books, relax with Savannah and practice your reading skills. For ages 6 and up. Please register in advance.

Make a colorful, fun Friendship Bracelet to keep or give to a friend on Tues., October 22 at 6:00 p.m. Miss Cara will guide you through the fun process of making your own creation. All materials provided. Ages 9 and up.

If you can tie your shoes, you can learn to crochet with Miss Jessica. The next “Crochet for Kids” meets Wed., October 23, at 4:00 p.m. All materials provided. Instruction will be geared toward children, however, the accompanying parent may learn as well. Age 5-10. “Crochet for Kids” meets every other Wednesday at 4:00 p.m.
