HPL Children's Room

HAMPSTEAD - Storytime at the Hampstead Public Library for 3 to 5 year olds takes place on Mondays at 10:00 a.m., and Thursdays at 1:30 p.m. No sign-up is necessary. Children are invited to come and listen to a story and do a craft. There is also Mother Goose on the Loose Storytime for infants and children to age 2 (with a caregiver) on Tuesdays at 10:00 a.m.

FAMILY HALLOWEEN PARTY - Families are invited to the Hampstead Public Library on Thurs., October 24 at 6:30 p.m., for a Not So Scary Halloween Party. Join us for the silly side of Halloween. We’ll read stories, make crafts, and enjoy special treats. Feel free to wear a costume if you wish. No advanced sign-up is required.

BABYSITTER TRAINING CLASS - On Sat., November 9, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the Hampstead Public Library will offer a Red Cross certified babysitter training class for students age 11 to 15. Through hands-on activities, interactive video and lively discussions, the course teaches young people how to care for children and infants, be good leaders and role models, make good decisions, and handle emergencies. Each student will receive a Babysitter’s Training Guide, Emergency Reference Guide, and CD-ROM which provides tools to help run a babysitting business. Advanced registration is required. The cost for training and materials is $85.00 (cash or check) and must be paid at the time of registration.
