PLAISTOW —A fun, family movie is shown at the library one Saturday a month! This month the movie will be shown on Sat., March 2. Call or visit the library for the title.

If you need assistance with an eReader or the features of our Koha library catalog, please visit the library on Mondays at noon or 6:30 p.m. for “Tech Talks,” where our librarians will do their best to answer your questions.

Are you or your family planning to travel in 2013? All you need is your library card (and internet access) to learn a language for free. Visit our website and sign up via the Transparent Languages link on the right side of the screen. The program gives many options to learn basic communication or advanced vocabulary, culture and even the history of the language. Dozens of languages are available—browse them today to pick yours.

Cribbage meets Wednesdays, 2:00-4:00 p.m.—come to the library to sharpen your cribbage skills and socialize! Snacks and drinks provided by Plaistow Recreation and the library.

Join us for LEGO/WII Fridays to build with our large LEGOs collection or challenge yourself to a game of Wii. Preschool children meet 1:00-2:30 p.m., School-aged children 3:00-4:30 p.m.

  • Catherine F. "Kitty" (Clements) Brown, 66

    Ft. Gibson, OK — Catherine F. "Kitty" (Clements) Brown passed away February 17, 2013, at her home in Ft. Gibson, Okla., after a brave battle with cancer. Kitty was born in Brentwood, N.H., on April 21, 1946, to the late Chester H. Clements and Catherine F. (Morse) Clements. She was raised in Kingston, N.H., and graduated from Sanborn Seminary. She lived for many years on Plum Island, Mass. While living on Plum Island, she was a columnist and photographer for The Daily News of Newburyport, as well as a school bus driver.

  • Ted "Teddy" Bolduc

    Fremont, N.H. — Ted “Teddy” Burleigh Bolduc, was born the youngest son of Phyllis and Joseph Bolduc Sr., on May 22, 1962. He died suddenly April 8, 2013, after a brief illness. Ted lived for most of his life in Fremont and Raymond. He was well known for his skills with heavy equipment and worked all his life in construction and excavation in the Fremont and Epping area. In addition to his work, he loved ice hockey, baseball, hunting, country music, and animals, especially his dog Finlay. He was very proud of, and also loved by, his very large family.
