---- — HAMPSTEAD - The fabulous Profile Chorus is performing at the Hampstead Public Library on Sat., December 8, from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m. This women’s a-capella show choir sings in four-part harmony. The concert is part of a free event that begins at 11:00 a.m. The library will have books to read, crafts for kids, plus coffee, cocoa, pastries and other goodies. The person with the most fabulous holiday sweater or outfit will receive a prize! Escape the holiday hustle and bustle; come to the library for a relaxing break with hot drinks, snacks, and wonderful music. This event is free and open to the public.

FREE MOVIE - Come to the Hampstead Public Library on Tues., December 18, for a bit of warmth and a free movie showing. Vincent Minnelli directs a heartwarming tale which evokes family life in St. Louis at the time of the 1904 World’s Fair. This lively film, starring Judy Garland, has musical numbers that are splendidly part of the storytelling, including: “Meet Me in St. Louis,” “The Boy Next Door,” “Trolley Song,” and “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.” You have two chances to see the movie – a matinee at 1:30PM and an evening showing at 6:30PM. REGULAR PROGRAMMING - Adult Storytime at the Hampstead Public Library will take place on Fri., December 7 and 21, at 10:00 a.m. This program is designed for developmentally disabled patrons, but all adults are welcome.

VISIT WITH JOHNNY CLAUDE - Johnny Claude the listener dog will be at the Hampstead Public Library for his monthly visit on Mon., December 10, from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. He is a certified therapy dog who loves to listen to kids read, tell stories, or act out a book. The program is terrific for reluctant readers of any age. You can set up a fifteen minute session with Johnny Claude, by signing-up at the library’s front desk or calling the library at 329-6411. Adults are also welcome to visit with Johnny Claude.

NEEDLEWORK - Needlework socials will take place on Fri., December 14 and 28, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Bring your own needlework project and work companionably with others in this relaxing atmosphere. No sign-up is necessary.

BRIDGE CLUB - Bridge Club at the Hampstead Public Library continues on Mondays from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. No sign-up is necessary and you do not need to be a resident of Hampstead to participate. There will be no Bridge Club on December 24th.
