PLAISTOW —The library will be closed December 24 and 25 for Christmas. Card-Making with Lorraine McNulty and Colleen Ferrante meets December 13 at 6:30 p.m. We will make two each of four designs for a $15.00 materials fee. Space is limited to fifteen: please register online in advance. Bring papercraft adhesive and scissors. This is an adult-level class. Two short holiday films will be shown Sat., December 15 at 10:30 a.m. Hot chocolate and cookies will be served, provided by the library. The library’s December artist is Susan Lindblad. Susan has lived in Plaistow since 1976. She began painting three years ago at the age of 62 and she paints almost every day. She has used pastels and watercolors, but prefers painting in oils. Her favorite style is still life, but her display this month at the library includes European street scenes, rowboats and canoe scenes and a few seascapes. Visit the library to browse this textured and vivid display of colors and scenes.
