EAST KINGSTON — East Kingston Public Library is pleased to offer the following February Vacation/ family activities:

Family Movie Night (The Rescuers Down Under) on Fri., February 15 at 6:00 p.m.; Swing and Sway the Night Away (a dancing and dessert night for grownups) on Sat., February 16 at 7:00 p.m. at the East Kingston Elementary School; Children’s Photography Workshop on Mon., February 25 at 9:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m.; Terrarium Workshop on Tues., February 26 at 6:30 p.m.; Puppet Show and Puppet Making Workshop on Thurs., February 28 at 2:00 p.m.

With school vacation approaching, patrons are reminded that they might want to reserve one of our museum passes. The Museum of Science has many family friendly activities going on in February and the Children’s Museum in Dover has child/parent art workshops, shadow puppets and African drumming this month.

All these activities are low cost or free. Some require prior registration and all sound like great fun. For more information visit our website, www.eastkingstonlibrary.org or stop in to sign up.

Our Love Your Library program for elementary students is in full swing. Chart each library visit for a prize and pick up a copy of Capture the Flag so that you can take part in our book discussion/pizza party.

  • Catherine F. "Kitty" (Clements) Brown, 66

    Ft. Gibson, OK — Catherine F. "Kitty" (Clements) Brown passed away February 17, 2013, at her home in Ft. Gibson, Okla., after a brave battle with cancer. Kitty was born in Brentwood, N.H., on April 21, 1946, to the late Chester H. Clements and Catherine F. (Morse) Clements. She was raised in Kingston, N.H., and graduated from Sanborn Seminary. She lived for many years on Plum Island, Mass. While living on Plum Island, she was a columnist and photographer for The Daily News of Newburyport, as well as a school bus driver.

  • Ted "Teddy" Bolduc

    Fremont, N.H. — Ted “Teddy” Burleigh Bolduc, was born the youngest son of Phyllis and Joseph Bolduc Sr., on May 22, 1962. He died suddenly April 8, 2013, after a brief illness. Ted lived for most of his life in Fremont and Raymond. He was well known for his skills with heavy equipment and worked all his life in construction and excavation in the Fremont and Epping area. In addition to his work, he loved ice hockey, baseball, hunting, country music, and animals, especially his dog Finlay. He was very proud of, and also loved by, his very large family.
