KENSINGTON — Kensington Library is pleased to offer the following programs.

Children’s Story & Craft Time: Tuesday and Wednesday mornings at 10:30 with Ms. Lindsey. Also a special Saturday story time on the first Saturday of the month at 10:30 a.m.

February School Vacation Week: Call or visit our website to see what activities we have planned for your children; Movie night, story hour, etc.; Museums are a perfect place to spend a day over vacation with the family; Many allow you to enter free; others at a reduced rate.

Museum Passes Available: Museum of Science and Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; Peabody Essex Museum, Salem, MA; Currier Museum of Art, Manchester; Children’s Museum, Dover; and Coming soon: Portland Art Museum!

E-Readers: Do you have an E-reader (kindle, Nook) or an I-PAD? If so, we would be happy to help you borrow free e-books and audio books from NH Overdrive. You can do it from home…all you need is your Kensington Library number. Call or stop in if you need assistance.

Knitting: Wednesdays, from 9:30-11:00 a.m. we will have morning knitting for those who want to bring their projects. Coffee, tea and muffins will be available.

Book Club: Our book club continues to meet once a month on a Tuesday night: February 26, 6:30 p.m. “On the Road” by Jack Kerouac and March 26 at 6:30 p.m. “The Reluctant Fundamentalist” by Mohsin Hamid. The library will have copies of each for you to borrow. Please join us!

Artist of the Month: Kensington is very fortunate to have so many talented, local artists. The Library would like to showcase their work and will be exhibiting them on a monthly rotation.This month

Brittany Soucy is displaying her beautiful acrylic paintings. Please come in and enjoy the gifted talents of our town’s artists. If you are an artist who would like to exhibit your work, please let us know.

  • Catherine F. "Kitty" (Clements) Brown, 66

    Ft. Gibson, OK — Catherine F. "Kitty" (Clements) Brown passed away February 17, 2013, at her home in Ft. Gibson, Okla., after a brave battle with cancer. Kitty was born in Brentwood, N.H., on April 21, 1946, to the late Chester H. Clements and Catherine F. (Morse) Clements. She was raised in Kingston, N.H., and graduated from Sanborn Seminary. She lived for many years on Plum Island, Mass. While living on Plum Island, she was a columnist and photographer for The Daily News of Newburyport, as well as a school bus driver.

  • Ted "Teddy" Bolduc

    Fremont, N.H. — Ted “Teddy” Burleigh Bolduc, was born the youngest son of Phyllis and Joseph Bolduc Sr., on May 22, 1962. He died suddenly April 8, 2013, after a brief illness. Ted lived for most of his life in Fremont and Raymond. He was well known for his skills with heavy equipment and worked all his life in construction and excavation in the Fremont and Epping area. In addition to his work, he loved ice hockey, baseball, hunting, country music, and animals, especially his dog Finlay. He was very proud of, and also loved by, his very large family.
