STRATHAM —The Wiggin Memorial Library in Stratham will dedicate its community meeting room in memory of D. Craig Wark Jr., past library trustee and trustee emeritus who passed away in 2012. The community and friends & family of Craig are invited to a brief dedication followed by a social time in the newly named “Craig’s Room” in the library on Sat., February 9 at 1:00 p.m.
During Craig’s ten years on the board of trustees, he spearheaded efforts that led the library to receive the New Hampshire Library Trustees Association (NHLTA) awards for the library and library director. The NHLTA also recognized Craig as the New Hampshire Library Trustee of the Year in 2004, and the Wiggin Memorial Library named Craig its first and only Trustee Emeritus after his years of service as a board member and chairman of the board. His advocacy was instrumental in the library’s successful expansion/renovation project, which created the meeting room for the community’s use. “Dedicating this community space is a fitting tribute to Craig’s spirit and his dedication to the library and community,” said Bruce Cotter, current chairman of the Library Board of Trustees.
