East Kingston Library News

EAST KINGSTON —Our library message center/bulletin board is a great place to check for local events. Post your own message or see what is going on in our community. From musical events to calling cards for local entrepreneurs, you will find names and numbers here. Town meeting notices are also posted on our board. The website has listings for upcoming events like “Skywatch” on January 21 and two fundraisers: Tues., February 5 at the Red Iguanna and “Swing and Sway the Night Away Fundraiser” on Sat., February 18.

Remember to take advantage of our system of passes to local museums like the Museum of Science and the Boston Museum of Fine Arts. Access great data bases from our on-line resources. A flyer is available at the circulation desk with passwords and codes to sign in to EBSCO, Humanities On Line and NewsBank. Our public access computers, printers and WIFI are always available.

For the toddlers, we offer Story Time and crafts on Mondays and Fridays at 10:00 a.m. Join us January 18 for a showing of Diary of a Wimpy Kid at 6:00 p.m. Kids can bring pillows and come in PJ’s for this “big screen” event. February will bring a special time to love your library for East Kingston Elementary students. Watch for news on special promotions, prizes and a kids bookclub/pizza party.
