KINGSTON — Stop in this Saturday – January 19 for a Free Middle Eastern Dance Class for adults and teens from 10:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m.! Nancy Griffin, instructor and director of Paradise in the Palms Dance Studio of Kingston, will share with us Middle Eastern dance from folk dances to Danse Orientale or Bellydance. Great fun for all! All month long the work of local photographer Godfrey Sluder will be on display, featuring photographs of local mushrooms. These photos take what many may consider an uninteresting item found in nature and creates amazing, interesting photos full of color and texture!

Book Babies, a story time class of literacy skills for children 0-36 months, continues every Monday with Ms. Sue at 10:30 a.m. through March 25. Karen hosts Preschool story time, an hour of stories and crafts every Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in the Children’s Room! On January 17 get ready for sweet snowmen, shimmering icicles on January 24, and a mitten fashion show on January 31.

Don’t miss Origami Day on Fri., January 8. Children ages 5+ are invited to drop in after school (starting at 2:00 p.m.) to learn how to make a paper crane, a ninja throwing star, a paper hat, and much more! Taking time to have a regular family night is a great way to create lasting memories. Join us on Fri., January 25 at 5:30 p.m. in the library meeting room for screenings of “Diary of a Wimpy kid: Dog Days”. Please bring a potluck snack to share. Popcorn will be provided!
