Hampstead Public Library News

HAMPSTEAD – Get in a Halloween mood by coming to the Hampstead Public Library on Tues., October 30, at 6:30 p.m., for movie director Tim Burton’s homage to the 1960’s television show “Dark Shadows.” Starring Johnny Depp, this film takes us to Collinwood Manor in the 1700’s, when Barnabas (Depp) is a rich and powerful playboy, until he breaks the heart of a vengeful witch. She dooms him to a fate worse than death: turning him into a vampire and then burying him alive. Two centuries later, Barnabas is freed from his tomb and emerges into the very changed world of 1972 where he meets the remnants of his family. This movie is free and open to the public.
