NEWTON — Thank you to all who donated items to help stock the Newton Food Pantry last month. Fine Free Month was a great time to clear those accounts and assist those in the community who are in need. Your generosity is appreciated!

A very special Polar Express story hour will be held on Mon., December 16 at 6:00 p.m. Enjoy this seasonal story and enjoy some cocoa and cookies too!

Evening Book Group will meet on Mon., December 16 at 6:00 p.m. This month’s discussion will be held on the book titled “Major Pettigrew’s Last Stand” by Helen Simonson. New members and guests are always welcome.

Relax with us and enjoy watching a newly released family film on Wed., December 18 at 6:00 p.m.

Popcorn will be served, please bring along your beverage and comfy pillow!

The Friends of the Gale Library Annual Christmas Basket Raffle is now going on. Tickets will once again sell for only $1.00 each or six for $5.00. All items will be raffled on Tues., December 17 at 1:00 p.m.

At this time there are 39 baskets on display! Come in to take your chances to win the many themed-baskets that are available. Wonderful gift ideas for those on your shopping list!

The Angel Tree is now on display with gift request tags at the front circulation desk. Please bring in your wrapped gift to the library by Wed., December 18, for distribution to Newton children. Thank you!

The library will be closed on Tues., December 24 and Wed., December 25 in celebration of Christmas.

We will re-open on Fri., December 27 for our normal hours of 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
