Children's Room at HPL

---- — HAMPSTEAD —Hampstead Public Library will have and “Upcycle Crafts” program for students who will be entering middle school on Mon., July 1 at 3:00 p.m. Kids come and transform recyclable materials into art, jewelry, and other useful treasures. No advance sign-up is necessary for this free event.

KIDS DIG INTO THE PAST - The Hampstead Public Library invites kids to Dig Into the Past on Tues., July 2 at 2:00 p.m. You can be an archeologist and explore an excavation site! Reconstruct artifacts and make your own fossils. You can also be a part of creating a time capsule for the library. No advance sign-up is necessary for this free event.

REPTILES ON THE MOVE - As part of the Hampstead Library’s Summer Reading Program, families are invited to attend an event at 10:00 a.m. on Wed., July 3 at the Hampstead Central School. Get up-close and personal with fascinating creatures at the “We Dig Reptiles!” show. Don’t miss this interactive and hands-on learning experience!

BOOK DISCUSSION FOR KIDS - The Hampstead Public Library will have a special edition of a summer book discussion on Tues., July 9 at 6:30 p.m. The featured book is “Call Me Amy” by Marcia Strykowski. This event is particularly appropriate for kids who will be entering middle school or high school, but adults are also welcome to attend. Copies of this terrific summer read are available at the library. Come and discuss the book with the author, and enjoy some homemade treats that are featured in the novel.
