---- — SANDOWN — Do you play chess? Did you ever want to learn or need an opponent to try your strategies on? Our chess club will be meeting on Thursday, April 17 at 6:30 pm. All ages and abilities are welcome to join us and light refreshments will be served.

Attention Lego Lovers! Join your friends and show off some of your building skills at our Brickbusters Lego Club. Bring a friend and join us on Sat., April 19, at 1:00 p.m. Be a part of our new Lego creations and have your project on display at the library.

Preschool story hours will continue on Tuesday’s at 10:00 a.m. and Thursday’s at 3:30 p.m. Children and their parents or caregivers are welcome to listen to stories and poems, sing songs and make a craft.

A Night of Music with Two Old Friends is coming to the Sandown Town Hall on Wed., April 23 at 7:00 p.m. Emery Hutchins and Jim Prendergast will sign and play traditional Celtic music. They will perform American country music in the way it was conceived in the early twentieth century through stories, songs and instrumental melodies. This program is free and open to the public. The Sandown Library has received a grant from the NH Humanities Council for this program.

April vacation is quickly approaching and it’s a great time to check out the local Museums. The library has several passes available to borrow at no charge. You may reserve them online or by calling the library at 887-3428.
