PLAISTOW — On display this month is the beautiful artwork of Susan Kneeland and textile artist Marie Leone. Come by to see these wonderful pieces! Did you know we now offer Notary Public services? Please see Raven for this service.

The library’s ongoing cribbage/bridge matches meet Wednesdays at 2:00 p.m. Tuesdays now offer Baby Lap-sit for ages 0-2 at 10 am. Fridays have Toddler Time at 10 a.m. for ages 3-5. LEGOs/Wii start at 1 p.m. on Fridays. Slumber Storytimes continue on Thursdays from 6-6:45 p.m. Come in your pajamas and bring your blanket for stories, songs, games, crafts, and fun.

April 12 is Crafty Kids from 9:30-12:30. Come drop by to do a themed craft with Miss Cara. The recommended ages are from 4-12. Registration is required for children’s events and are for Plaistow Library cardholders.

For all kids, nonreaders through high school we have our Passport to Genres Reading Program. It runs through May 2. Come by the library to pick up your Reading Passport and find out how you can earn raffle tickets and new books.

April 17 at 6:30 p.m. brings us a visit and presentation from local author and owner of New England Curiousities, Roxie Zwicker. She has been featured on the Travel Channel, the History Channel, and New Hampshire Chronicle. This promises to be a fun evening of spooky tales from Plaistow and the surrounding area in her program called “Stories, Stones, and Superstitions of Southern NH”.

We will hold an evening discussion about “Until Tuesday” by Luis Carlos Montalván on Wed., April 16, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Come by the library in advance for your copy of this heartwarming book – we still have a few copies left. We have copies in regular print, large print, and audio.

Mark Your Calendars for Sun., April 27 at 2 p.m. Award winning New York Times bestselling author, speaker and advocate, former US Army Captain, Luis Montalván, and his service dog Tuesday, will share with us their inspirational journey, answer questions and sign books. Books will be available for purchase at the program. Tuesday is the recipient of the 2013 American Kennel Club Humane Fund Award for Canine Excellence – Service Dog.
