---- — HAMPSTEAD —“Sensory Saturday” will be held on Sat., April 12, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., at the Hampstead Public Library. There will be sensory stations at which adults and children can explore their sense of touch, taste, sight, smell and hearing. Because April is Autism Awareness Month, “Sensory Saturday” can also be an educational experience. Participants can learn what it is like to be an individual with autism who might experience sensory overload. Volunteers (ages 14 and up) are needed to help at stations; call the library 329-6411 or email pfalconer@hampstead.lib.nh.us.

Johnny Claude the Listener Dog will be at the library on Mon., April 14, from 4:00-5:30 p.m. He is a certified therapy dog who loves to listen to kids read, tell stories, or act out a book. This program is terrific for reluctant readers of any age. You can set up a fifteen-minute session with Johnny Claude, by signing-up at the library’s front desk or calling the library at 329-6411. Adults are also welcome to visit with Johnny Claude.

Kids, if you are hanging around during spring break and looking for something fun to do, come to the Hampstead Public Library on Tues., April 29, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. for Game Day. Play board games, Wii™ games, and carnival games. Bring a friend or make new friends and have fun!
