PLAISTOW — The library will be closed Mon., November 11, for Veterans Day.
Come to the first of a series of book discussions revolving around themes of family, food and home. Sign out your copy of “Muffins & Mayhem: Recipes for a Happy (if disorderly) Life” by Suzanne Beecher at the front desk. Her book includes recipes for many delicious homemade dishes as well as a lot of food for thought. Participants are welcome to try out a recipe to share. We will meet at the library in the History Room on Wed., November 13 at 10: 30 a.m. to discuss the book. The library will provide coffee and, of course, muffins.
Ages 3-6 are invited to join Sarah from ‘Imajine That’ for a Dance & Movement class on Thurs., November 14, at 5:00 p.m. Dance to the music as we move our bodies, shake, stretch, and pretend to be some of our favorite animals. Registration is required and open to Plaistow Library cardholders.
The library’s ongoing cribbage and bridge matches meet on Wednesdays at 2:00 p.m. Come and play a game with friends. Children may enjoy Friday Afternoon Legos and Wii starting at 1:00 p.m.: build with our large Lego collection, or challenge yourself to a game of Wii. No registration is required.
