---- — KINGSTON — Start a reading tradition with your daughter with a Mother-Daughter Book Club, for girls (grades 4-8) and their mothers. The series is based on the popular Mother-Daughter Book Club novels by Heather Vogel Fredrick. The group will meet on Tues., November 12 at 6:00 p.m., to discuss “Bliss” by Katheryn Littlewood. Miss Sue will serve snacks and refreshments, and book-talk a few titles for the January meeting. Books for the December meeting will be available for pickup. Stop by the library to pick up a copy of “Bliss” today!

The Wolfspirit Studios’ annual student art show, “Happy Accidents” will be on display at the Kingston Community library from November 14–18. On Thurs., Nov. 14, from 6:00–8:00 p.m., the students will host a reception at the library to meet and greet the public. Most artwork will be available for purchase, and a portion of funds generated will be donated to the Friends of the Kingston Community Library. The American Red Cross will hold a Babysitting Training Course at the Kingston Community Library which is designed for students, ages 11 and older. This in-person training provides the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly care for infants and children up to the age of 10, as well as to manage a babysitting business. It takes about six-hours to complete and offers hands-on skills practice and additional training in first aid. The cost of this program is $85.00 per student. Payment is due at signup. Please sign up by November 9. The training course will be on Sat., November 16, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Bring your lunch!
