---- — HAMPSTEAD — The Hampstead Public Library will have a second personal finance workshop on Tues., November 12, at 6:30 p.m. Come and increase your savings and budget knowledge, and learn to take better control of your finances. You will also be shown resources to save and perhaps make money. The speaker is the VITA Tax Site & Asset Development Coordinator from Rockingham Community Action. You may attend this workshop even if you did not attend the first. Register in advance by calling the library (329-6411) or emailing

MOVIE MATINEE - Come see the Disney/Pixar prequel featuring the characters Mike Wazowski and James “Sulley” Sullivan at the Hampstead Public Library on Sat., November 16, at 12 noon. Long before they were lurking in closets for a living, Mike and Sulley were just two Scaring majors at University. Their adventures and quirky friends make this one funny movie! All adults and kids are welcome to this free showing. Feel free to bring lunch or a snack and get comfortable in front of our big screen.

BOOK DISCUSSION - On November 21 at 1:00 p.m., the Hampstead Public Library’s Third Thursday Book Group will discuss “Without a Map” by Meredith Hall. This moving but unsentimental memoir begins in 1965, when Hall becomes pregnant at sixteen. Shunned by her New Hampshire community, banished by her parents, and forced to give her baby boy up for adoption, Hall wanders recklessly through the Middle East. She eventually returns to New England, and when her lost son is twenty-one, he finds her. Their turbulent reunion is ultimately redemptive. Copies of the book are available at the library. Newcomers are always welcome to the discussions.

MEDICARE WORKSHOP - The Hampstead Public Library will host a New to Medicare Workshop on the afternoon of Tues., November 19. A representative from ServiceLink of Rockingham County will answer questions about Medicare. If you are new to Medicare, or will be going on Medicare soon, this meeting is for you. Workshop topics include: understanding the basics of Medicare, prescription drug coverage, Medicare supplements, and preventing fraud. To register for this workshop, call ServiceLink at 603-893-9769.
