---- — PLAISTOW — Come to the first of a series of book discussions revolving around themes of family, food and home. Sign out your copy of “Muffins & Mayhem: Recipes for a Happy (if disorderly) Life” by Suzanne Beecher. Her book includes recipes for many delicious homemade dishes as well as a lot of food for thought. Participants are welcome to try out a recipe to share. We will meet at the library in the History Room on Wed., November 13, at 10: 30 a.m. The library will provide coffee and, of course, muffins.

“Tween Town” for grades 6-8 meets Tues., November 5, at 4:00 p.m. Celebrate the Hunger Games movie “Catching Fire” coming out this month with a themed activity presented by Ms. Cara. Enjoy crafts and refreshments relating to the movie. Please register online.

Anticipation for the next Diary of a Wimpy Kid book “Hard Luck” coming out this month is the highlight of the next Wimpy Kid Book Club meeting on Wed., November 6, at 4:00 p.m. Come enjoy discussion, games and art to celebrate this popular book series. Students in grades 2-5, please pre-register.

If you can tie your shoes, you can learn to crochet with Miss Jessica. The next “Crochet for Kids” meets Wed., November 20, at 4:00 p.m. All materials provided. Instruction will be geared toward children, however, the accompanying parent may learn as well. Age 5-10. “Crochet for Kids” meets every other Wednesday at 4:00 p.m.

The library’s ongoing cribbage and bridge matches meet on Wednesdays at 2:00 p.m. Come and play a game with friends, enjoy a cup of coffee and light refreshments. Children may enjoy Friday Afternoon Legos and Wii starting at 1:00 p.m.: build with our large LEGO collection, or challenge yourself to a game of Wii. No registration is required.
