---- — HAMPSTEAD - If you want to save more of your income and improve your financial well-being, the Hampstead Public Library has workshops for you. Whether you have a hard time making ends meet, you have had a sudden change in family income, or you just want to get your finances better organized, this two-part series will be helpful to you.

Part 1 of the series, on Tues., November 5, at 6:30 p.m., will cover setting goals, developing a budget and managing your credit. We’ll discuss free credit reports and you’ll get worksheets. Part 2, on November 12, at 6:30 p.m., will go further to fill in the gaps of your savings & budget knowledge, and to help you take control of your finances. You will be shown resources to save and perhaps make money. The speaker is the VITA Tax Site & Asset Development Coordinator from Rockingham Community Action. To register for one or both of these workshops, call the library (603/329-6411) or email jarden@hampstead.lib.nh.us.

eBOOKS CAN NOW BE RENEWED - Exciting news for those who borrow books from New Hampshire Downloadable Books (NHDB) via their library: users can now renew a borrowed title if there are no reserves for that title. The option will appear on a cardholder’s NHDB account (on their “Bookshelf”) within 3 days of its expiration, if a title is available to renew. Below the expiration date, you would see a curved arrow and the word “Renew.” Click and get the title for an additional 2 weeks. The Hampstead Public Library is pleased to be a subscriber to this service, allowing library cardholders access to thousands of electronic books and audiobooks which can be borrowed for free. Contact the library at 329-6411 if you have questions.
