---- — HAMPSTEAD - Tickets for the Friends of the Hampstead Public Library’s holiday auction are available only for advance purchase. The Friends cannot sell tickets at the door because they must give The Granite Rose a head count for planning the dinner service before the auction date. So please don’t wait until the last minute to get your tickets for this festive and fun event on November 15th. Tickets may be purchased at either the Hampstead Public Library or the TD Bank branch on Main Street, in front of the post office.
There are so many gift cards and certificates for restaurants, services, and other donations that will be part of the Balloon Pop that can’t be all listed here. Check out the full list of donations and donors at www.hampsteadlibrary.org/friends. The Balloon Pop always produces happy surprises for delighted poppers. Every prize is valued at much more than the $10.00 cost of your balloon so you can’t lose at thing. We promise that the lines will be shorter this time around because the increased space at the venue will allow for two lines, and there will be even more balloons as well.
Remember to save your appetite for the fantastic sit-down dinner that is included in your ticket price. Turkey and all the fixings may make it unnecessary to prepare a full Thanksgiving meal in a couple of weeks. Celebrate the holiday here and relax on Thanksgiving Day.
To cap off the wonderful variety of items that will be up for bid at either the Silent Auction or during the live bidding there will be a surprise from the Boston Red Sox. This season has been so exciting and uplifting that no matter what happens between now and the end of the playoffs something from this year’s remarkable team will be a joy to treasure for years to come.
Bring your credit card (Visa or Master Card only), your checkbook or – our favorite – cash, your appetite, and plan to spend generously to benefit the Friends of the Library who do so much to support your public library. The Friends hope to raise enough money from the Auction this year to purchase an electronic sign to be placed on the grass in front of the library near Stage Road that will keep everyone apprised of what’s going on at the library.
