Epping Library News

EPPING —Epping's public Library has a new phone number! To reach the main desk dial 734-4587. To contact the children's room directly, you now use the old number 679-5944. Our apologies for any confusion this may cause.

Miss Tracie's Costume Closet opened Tues., October 9. We have assembled quite an impressive collection of gently used costumes for library patrons to borrow for Halloween. Most of the costumes fall in the toddler and preschool size range, but we also have many infant costumes and are welcoming additions to the school age sized collection. Residents with library accounts in good standing may borrow costumes until the 'halloween season' ends.

Fri., October 12 sees the return of PJ Movie Night to the children's room. Beginning at 6:30 p.m. this month's movie is the third in a series of rated G adventures from Disney about a group of chihuahuas in Hollywood. Popcorn will be provided by the Friends of the Library. Patrons are asked to bring a snack to share and a spill-resistant drink. All children must be accompanied by a responsible big person.

Later this month there will be owls at the library! On Thurs., October 25 we will have a special program for ages 5 and up, “Who's Watching You? Owls of the World”. Two talented naturalists from “Eyes on Owls” will bring six live owls to teach everyone about these amazing birds. This program begins at 7:00 p.m. downstairs at the library.

On Fri., October 26 the ninth annual Halloween Party for ages 2-8 and their families will run from 5:30-7:30 pm. Kids and their parents are encouraged to wear costumes (no masks, please) for traditional halloween games and a silly/spooky scavenger hunt. Sign up in the children's room to provide a snack for our Finger Food Buffet.

Epping's public library is open Mon.-Fri., from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Sat., 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. For more information, call 679-5944, or visit www.eppinglibrary.com.
