KINGSTON — Kids age 7 and up are invited to stop by the library for the LEGO Challenge Club on Fri., April 4 and 18, at 4:00 p.m. Participate in building challenges that test their creativity and ingenuity to win prizes.
Kingston Community Library will present Bridging Cultures: Understanding Islam beyond the Headlines on Wed., April 9 at 7:00 p.m. Ali Asani, Professor of Indo-Muslim and Islamic Religion and Cultures at Harvard University, leads us through a thoughtful and engaging wrap-up presentation.
On Fri., April 11 at 5:30 p.m., the library will be showing “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug”, rated PG-13. Why not stop by for a movie and pizza, provided by the Friends of the Kingston Community Library? If means allow, please bring a potluck snack to share!
Don’t forget to pick up “Leo Africanus” by Amin Maalouf, translated by Peter Sluglett, the fourth book in our five-part book discussion. The discussion, lead by UNH Professor Ethel Sara Wolper, will take place April 17, at 7:00 p.m., at the Sanborn Regional High School.
Join us in the children’s room to dye and decorate eggs for Easter on Sat., April 12, at 10:00 a.m. Make a basket, a bonnet, and bunny ears to bring your eggs home in style. Elementary school children are invited to participate. Space is limited, so sign up soon!
