Visit with Victoria

GREENLAND —Don’t miss a Visit with Queen Victoria on Tues., March 25, at 6:30 p.m., at the Weeks Public Library in Greenland. In 1837, teenaged Victoria ascended to the British throne, untrained and innocent. Using Queen Victoria’s diary and letters, this program reveals the personal details of a powerful yet humane woman, who took seriously her role as monarch in a time of great expansion. Sally Mummey performs this living history in proper 19th Century clothing resplendent with Royal Orders.

This New Hampshire Humanities Council program is hosted by the Friends of the Library.

The Weeks Public Library is located at 36 Post Road. For information, call 603-436-8548, or visit them on the web at www.weekslibrary.org.
