---- — EAST KINGSTON — Explore a Cultural Treasure with a museum pass from the East Kingston Public Library.
Thanks to our very active Friends group and some generous patrons, we have a great assortment of museum passes to offer our patrons. One special selection is The Fells, a historic estate on Lake Sunapee. The Fells was the summer home of Secretary of State John Milton Hay. Year round activities are planned there. Margaret Hagen, UNH Cooperative extension field specialist and WMUR host of “Grow it Green” will be there Sat., March 29, from 10:00-11:30 a.m. discussing the successful harvest. They also plan special events at the Coach House Restaurant and have scheduled a talk on composting. For more information on this little jewel, visit their website, www.thefells.org.
We also have passes to the Currier Museum in Manchester which is a great day trip, featuring a great permanent collection as well as a lovely museum gift shop and cafe. Tickets to the Zimmerman House are not included in the library pass but you may want to call ahead to book a visit to this Frank Lloyd Wright home with its original interiors.
All in all, our pass selections will suit many different tastes and help the transition into what we can only be a glorious spring (after this winter we certainly deserve it!)
