PLAISTOW —The library will be closed Mon., February 17 for Presidents’ Day.
Visit the library during the month of February to see the artwork of award-winning local artist Jim Collins. The paintings represent all kinds of wildlife and are quite stunning to see. Jim’s work has been featured many times over on conservation stamps for the state of NH.
The library’s ongoing cribbage and bridge matches meet on Wednesdays at 2:00 p.m. Come and play a game with friends. Children may enjoy Friday afternoon LEGOs and Wii starting at 1:00 p.m. Build with our large Lego collection or challenge yourself to a game of Wii. No registration is required.
Slumber Storytimes continue on Thursdays from 6:00-6:45 p.m. Come in your pajamas and bring your blanket for stories, songs, games, crafts, and fun. Registration is required and this event is for all Plaistow Library cardholders.
Come see our new Giant Bookworm! He needs a name and Miss Cara invites the kids to submit names to name him. He’s the biggest in the world – we think!
Imajine That will visit on Thurs., February 13, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. This activity is recommended for ages 3-6 and registration is required.
The Book Talk group will be reading “Until Tuesday” by Luis Carlos Montalvan in preparation for our discussion on March 12. Come by the library in advance for your copy of this heartwarming book. As an added bonus, we will be having the author visit with Tuesday, on Sun., April 27 at 2:00 p.m.! Mark your calendars now!
Card Making with Colleen Ferrante will be Thurs., February 20, from 6:30-9:00 p.m. The demonstration will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m. and the class is limited to adults only. You will make eight cards; materials fee is $15.00. Please bring your own adhesive and scissors.
