DANVILLE — Colby Memorial Library in Danville is pleased to offer the following upcoming programs.

Dr. John Chandler will give a lecture titled, “The Book is (Not Always) Better: Reconsidering Film Adaptations” on Sat., January 11 at 1:30 p.m. This lecture looks at the ways we approach film adaptations of books. This is a free program.

The Mystery & Suspense Book Club is reading “The Apprentice” by Tess Gerritsen. The book discussion will be held on Thurs., January 2 at 7:00 p.m.

Preschool Storytimes are held on Thursdays at 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Bring your little ones to hear stories, sing songs, and make a craft. Please call to register your child at 382-6733.

The Knitter’s and Handcrafter’s Group meets on Mondays from 6:30-7:45 p.m. If you don’t know how to knit, we will help you.
