---- — PLAISTOW —The library will be closing at 3:00 p.m. on December 31 and will be closed for January 1, New Year’s Day. Happy New Year, Everyone! We will reopen with regular hours at 9:00 a.m. on Thurs., January 2.

Visit the library during the month of December to see a Holiday Houses display in the tall glass case, courtesy of Melissa Theberge and her helpful holiday elves, Claire and Nora. Each house is charming, unique and seasonally festive. The library walls are also adorned this month with the artwork of local artist Nicole DeClerck and her students. Their work is varied and always a popular addition to the library. Don’t miss the smaller photos in the horizontal display cases: each is on sale for $10.00. Proceeds to benefit the library.

Don’t miss ‘The Woodland Cinderella’ Puppet Show from acclaimed puppeteer, Deborah Costine – on Fri., December 27 at 2:00 p.m. National-award-winning puppeteer Deborah Costine uses the highly effective medium of puppetry to teach about nature. This event is recommended for ages 4 and up. Registration is required as space is limited.
