PLAISTOW – The Plaistow Library will be closed in observation of Veterans Day, on Mon., November 12. We are open on November 10 and will be showing our monthly family film that day instead of Nov 17. Ask at the library for this month’s movie. Popcorn and drink are provided by the library.

The library is proud to announce that former teen page Ms. Amanda Plante is the winner of a New England-wide Teen Writing Contest, sponsored by local authors Berry & Croft. Ms. Plante is interviewed this week on Berry & Croft’s local access show Scrybes airing on Channel 23, and Plante is also allowing the library to display her novella “The Brine Man” during the first two weeks of November, for patrons to flip through or read. Come by the front desk to look at the winning book!

Card-Making with Lorraine and Colleen is scheduled Thurs., November 8, from 6:30-8:30 pm. We will make two each of four Holiday designs for a total of eight cards, for a materials fee of $15.00. Please preregister at since class size is limited. This is an adult-level class. Bring papercraft adhesive and scissors.
