Colby Library News

DANVILLE – The Friends of the Colby Memorial Library will be having a book sale on Sat., November 3, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Library. So if you’re cleaning up the house and you’re not quite sure what to do with all of those gently used books, DVDs, and audiobooks or CD that you no longer have any need...donate them to the Friends of Colby Library! Donations to the book sale will be accepted at the Library up until Thurs., November 1. The money raised through the sale is used by the Friends to help pay for programming in the community and much more! Make sure to get here early on the day of the sale, as the most popular and rarest books are always the first to go! Please, no textbooks, encyclopedias, or anything moldy.

The Mystery & Suspense Book Club is reading Joe Lansdale’s “The Bottoms”. Stop in and pick up a copy to be discussed on Thurs., November 1, at 7:00 p.m.

All library materials (books, DVDs, audio books, magazines, etc.) are now available for delivery - right to your front door. To make arrangements for delivery, please call 382-6733.

WiFi is now available throughout the Library.

Stop in or call to register to use Transparent Language Online and learn any of the eighty languages available to you from your home computer, a smart phone, or a computer at the Library.

The Knitter’s and Handcrafter’s Group meets on Mondays from 6:30-7:45 p.m. If you don’t know how to knit, help will be available.
