NEWTON – The Gale Library will be offering Fine Free Month for the month of November once again! In exchange for returned overdue library materials, all new fines will be waived for a donation of non-perishable items for the Newton Food Pantry. Items such as peanut butter, pasta, canned goods, paper goods, and toiletries are always welcomed to stock the shelves for the upcoming winter months. This is a great way to bring your account up-to-date and to assist those in need!

Thank you very much to Dr. Elizabeth Lynch and company of the Sleep Institute of New England in Kingston! The presentation was very interesting and provided beneficial information to understand the importance of sleep for all of us.

In addition, gratitude is extended to Nancy Reiss and her canine reading friend, Jasmine! Young readers enjoyed reading to Jasmine during the month of October. Thank you to everyone who participated in this very special program!

Our next Genealogy Club meeting is scheduled for Wed., November 14 at 1:00 p.m., at the library. An online subscription to Ancestry Library Edition is available to assist your research, http://ancestrylibrary.com. Please contact the library for username and password information.

Morning Book Review Circle is scheduled for Wed., November 14 at 10:30 a.m. We will meet a week early this month due to our Thanksgiving hours. Come and share your latest read along with a morning snack! New members or guests are always welcomed!
