Plaistow Library News

PLAISTOW – Friends of the Library at Plaistow (FLAP) are preparing for their annual Vendor Fair to be held Sat., November 17, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Companies such as Tupperware, Pampered Chef, Avon, Lia Sophia, and Flags on the Go along with about ten others will be stationed in the library selling their wares. The Friends are looking for volunteers to help that day as well as to join the group and assist with the Friends’ fundraising efforts. Visit the Friends tab on our website for more information.

Do you like Anime? The library’s Anime Club meets the fourth Monday of every month, this month on October 22, from 4:00-5:00 p.m. Grades 7-12 are welcome. We will watch Anime movies, draw, read and discuss anime together. Snacks are provided by the library.

The Magic Tree House Book Club continues on October 24 If you have a first, second or third grader, please bring them to the library on fourth Wednesdays for discussions, games, crafts and art about this series. Snacks are provided by the library.

Cribbage meets Wednesdays, 2:00-4:00 p.m.—come to the library to sharpen your cribbage skills and socialize! Snacks and drinks provided by Plaistow Recreation and the library.

Are you an artist who would like to display art at the library? Reserve a month this fall to hang your art by calling the library. Or if you have a collection to share in our glass display cases, let us know.

Join us for LEGO/WII Fridays to build with our large LEGOs collection or challenge yourself to a game of Wii. Preschool children meet 1:00-2:30 p.m., School aged children 3:00-4:30 p.m.
