KINGSTON —Teens are invited to watch Beautiful Creatures (PG-13) on Tues., August 20, from 7:30-9:30 p.m. Get out of the house for a few, grab some friends, watch the movie, and eat free popcorn!
The indoor walking group “Book It” continues throughout August on Mondays and Wednesdays at 8:30 a.m. We will be walking with Leslie Sansone, following her DVD (two mile brisk walk, 30 minutes). All ages and all levels are welcome. You set your own pace and decide how long you want to walk. Plus we will be inside an air-conditioned room!
Stop by the library to view “Wild Kingston” photography exhibit by local photographers featuring landscapes, wildlife, and plant life from Kingston. The display is sponsored by the Kingston Conservation Commission.
Back to school donations of backpacks, notebooks, pencils, pens, markers etc. are needed. Your donated items will be brought to Bakie School and disseminated to students in need. Anything, great or small, is welcome. Items can be dropped off at the Library during normal Library hours throughout the month of August (no later than August 23).
There is still time to buy discounted tickets to York’s Wild Kingdom! The Friends of the Library are selling York’s Wild Kingdom Tickets for just $13.00! Regular Prices: Adults $21.25 and children 4-12 $16.25.
The Friends of the Library are also offering reimbursements for museum visits. Simply purchase admission tickets at the time of your museum visit, fill out the reimbursement form you can pick up at the library, include a copy of the ticket receipt, and bring the form and receipt to the library. A reimbursement check will be mailed to the patron within two weeks. Reimbursement is limited to 50-percent of the ticket price up to $20 per family group visit. Amusement and theme parks are not covered.
